It’s never too late to start planning for postpart It’s never too late to start planning for postpartum. When I say postpartum; I mean for you. Not the baby stuff. Put together things that make you feel special. Delegate tasks for people. If you don’t have support consider a postpartum doula. If it’s not in the budget, look for someone that needs experience and trade for a review. Create a space that’s for you to go to and just be, even if it’s 5 minutes. Squirrel food away. Book your placenta encapsulation. Put together a list of resources in the event you need them. If your care provider tells you otherwise please share with them this study. I have no doubt that if your provider tells you this it is because they are concerned. Iron is an important element in postpartum. Low i Iron is an important element in postpartum. Low iron levels have been associated with poor concentration and mood in postpartum. Research also suggests that balanced iron levels reduce unexplained fatigue during the postpartum period. In a study conducted by UNLV, it was found that one serving of encapsulated placenta contained about 24% RDA of iron. One may think, well that is not a lot, but take a moment to consider the probable bioavailability of iron that was sourced from YOUR body. There are no studies on this but I think it’s a pretty good hypothesis that iron that was created by you would absorb and be used by you much better than plan or animal iron. Just a thought. John L. Behind the scenes. The last full week of August w Behind the scenes. The last full week of August was memorable. Two kids went back to class. We enjoyed the sunrise on the beach. Time with friends.
